AGTA Workshop - Reinhold Baer Prize 2024 Napoli, Italy October, 7th-8th, 2024
The Reinhold Baer Prize is dedicated to the great German algebraist who built an important school of group theory. The aim of the prize is to support the scientific activity of young researchers, regardless of their geographical origin. The prize was issued in 2017, and the winner of this sixth edition will be announced during this workshop.

Young Researchers Algebra Conference 2023 L'Aquila, Italy July, 25th-29th, 2023
This is the third edition of the conference. The goal is to bring together young algebraists and to give them the opportunity to present their latest research. Particular focuses of the conference are Group Theory, Cryptography, Ring Theory, and algebraic structures related to the Yang Baxter Equation, but all topics within algebra are very welcome.

Advances in Group Theory and Applications 2016 - The School Vietri sul Mare, Salerno June, 6th-10th, 2016
The school took place in Vietri sul Mare (Salerno, Italy) in the period June 6th - June 10th 2016. It consisted of four courses scheduled from Monday 6th in the morning to Friday 10th in the afternoon. The lectures were delivered by C. Casolo, Á. del Río, A. Facchini and A. Macintyre. The aim of the school is to introduce PhD students and Post-Doc researchers to advanced methods of group theory.

Intensive Bimester of Group Theory Naples, Italy May - June, 2002
In the spring of 2002, the Federico II University of Naples, with the financial support of the National Institute of Higher Mathematics, hosted an intensive bimester dedicated to the Theory of Infinite Groups, organized by Francesco de Giovanni (Napoli) and Martin Newell (Galway) with the collaboration of Maria De Falco, Carmen Musella, Alessio Russo and Gianni Vincenzi. This event was be dedicated to the memory of Reinhold Baer, the centenary of whose birth occured on July 22, 2002. These two months focused on current research and develop topics and methods introduced by and studied by Baer, with particular emphasis on finiteness conditions in group theory and the properties of generalized soluble and nilpotent groups.
